The PSU fires up the fans dvdroms lights flash HD light stays on solid hd spins no display on monitor tried 3 new batteries etc only thing i can see is the low voltage on the pin 9
before it stopped working when turned on would take maybe 10 to 20 attempts to get uboot to show once booted was fine then went away on holidays turned of at wall 2 weeks later came home now nothing at all no uboot :(

ok finally got around to testing the PSU while connected to to the A1 all powers are fine but the pin 9 SB only reading 3volts should be 5volts could this be whats stopping my A1 booting ?

Hmmmmm sounds exactly like mine tried everything to no avail im suspecting the actual battery holder area when i get a chance ill re solder if its possible
also noted ive bought at least 5 cr2032 batteries all have been rather low on voltage 2.9v to 3.2 range what should a good one read ?

the voodoo card smells bad not my A1 it was working fine b4 i went on holidays was unplugged for 2 weeks and now nothing
but for a couple of months b4 i went away it was hard to get it too boot sometimes took 3 to 4 resets and then others strait away
im seriously starting to think the PSU is the problem

Hi all
my a1 has stopped booting yes battery replaced checked voltage has 3.3v
now the system when started the dvd rom lights flash and do their normal thing the HD light stays on solid i have the sil card hd motor spins
no signal to monitor thats as far as we get :(
ive pulled everything out reseated it all tried different ram but still the same
i have no cable to test it and only have new macs so probably couldn't hook it up anyways
the green light is on the motherboard any ideas ?

Im too used to my 2009 17" Mac book pro and 2009 8 core 2.66ghz 12 gig Radeon 4870 Mac pro speed
so i want a high end Amiga now "hint hint Hyperion"

the A1 has served me well its like one of me kids could never sell it :)
