Ok. I have now sussed the problem.
The onboard RAM was defected and after purchasing the new RAM, everything worked perfectly.

I would like to thank everyone that took the time out to give me a hand working this out.
Very much appreciated.

@rjd324
Thanks for the reply.
I have now received the Serial / Data cable, however i am not sure what or how to use it.
I have tried booting from a Linux CD ROM but the Amiga does not boot from it.

@rjd324

I did not manage to boot the Amiga due to the fact I need the BIOS on a new SD Card, which I cannot get.
A new Serial Data lead has been ordered and should receive by late afternoon today.

@rjd324
It's an ASUS R7240 2Gb Radeon GFX card.
The USB thumb drive has booted up before with this card in the motherboard, that's why I think it is the SD card that is at fault here.

Ok. An update as to where i am now.
1. I have replaced the battery onboard the motherboard.
2. I have now received the USB Boot thumb drive but after switching on, it just hangs and goes no further, no grey screen or boing ball.
3. I removed the GFX card and cleaned it up (it was looking good), removed the RAM and cleaned the connections on that as well.
4. I am beginning to think that the SD Card with the BIOS on, is corrupt.
Does anyone know or can supply me the SD card with the BIOS on it?
Many thanks for helping me out so far.

@Tuvok
Thanks for the reply.
I did have a USB thumb drive but that has now corrupted and left me unable to boot the machine.
I would prefer a CDrom.

I will give that a try. The only problem is, when i disconnect the HDD, i can then load Workbench from my Thumb drive USB. However the Workbench does not recognise the HDD when i connect it to rename it :(

Ok. Not having much luck here.
After formatting as suggested earlier, when booting up, all that happens is this: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/8en4t0c ... 6kr2khkz&st=dbxjcf0w&dl=0
Any suggestions?

Thanks for the reply.
The bootup sequence doesn't even get to the bouncing ball firing. Just the picture of the ball and the X5k and that is all.

If anyone has an x5000, can you take a photo of the USB connections going to it please? I may be connecting to an unrecognised port.
The keyboard and mouse were purchased with the x5000 when I bought them, so they should be compatible.
