Re: Lion Heart proper config ?

Thanks! It is definitely better on your video, and you have no issues with clouds for sure!

Just in case, while i mimic your config, can you please also compare with my file sizes if we use the same versions or not:

Whdload:

I use WHDLoad_usr.lha 1432278 Bytes created 2022-05-30
Also i use latest whdload install archive for LionHeart from whdload.de which is of 115.787 size. It is version 2.3 (01.01.21) done by Psygore (where you also can set some other fixes for LionHeart)

The game itself is:

Lionheart (1993)(Thalion)(Disk 1 of 4).zip : 832,867
Lionheart (1993)(Thalion)(Disk 2 of 4).zip : 769,277
Lionheart (1993)(Thalion)(Disk 3 of 4).zip : 788,764
Lionheart (1993)(Thalion)(Disk 4 of 4).zip : 765,254

Is all the same for you ?

I apply the principle that if the game works with an older version of WHDload, I try not to update WHDload to the latest version, because I know that sometimes it can bring more problems than good. For Lionheart I use the WHDload 17.2 version (01.12.2013). I did not know that there was a newer inscription Slave, I use the old one from 2014 (2.2), but I will try to check with the newer.

I don't remember where I got the game anymore, it has been on my disk for many years. I only know that I do not have a diskette images in the catalog, only one subdirectory Date with size 3293546 bytes, where all data from Lionheart is unpacked.

Yes, Lionheart is difficult to emulate. Set CPU_SPEED = real. At my old e-uae sdl (without jit), the whdload version works quite well.

Alternatively, does anyone still have contact with Davy?

Davy is now developing an Audio Evolution in a mobile version. He is probably an administrator hiding under nick DWrae and I think that it would be easiest to make contact with him.

The second option may be the contact form on the official website of Extream Software.

Mixer hasn't changed. Maybe you changed to a smaller screen resolution after the last time that you've used the mixer? This could mean that it is rendered off screen. Delete envarc:hda_vol_ctrl.prefs
Upon the next start of hdmixer, a new prefs will be created

Thanks it helped, now it's ok.

Double click to open en double click to close. The mixer window will appear right below it. It will only change the volume when you release the mouse button. This is how dockies work. The hdmixer uses a seperate process for processing the sliders

Thanks for the information. It didn't work for me because I had docky in the lower dock. When I create a new dock, for example in the middle of the screen, the mixer window opens for me, but I have a problem with closing it, because it opens not under the icon but on the icon.

Many thanks for updating, now the sound at the start is sufficiently loud. Unfortunately, I also noticed problems. I can't open the HDMIXER tool. I see a window for a moment but it closes in a split second. Docky also don't works.

Version 1.0 has just been released on Morphos. Any chance someone will compile for AmigaOS4?

On my X5000 timedemo gives 25fps. However, in game most of the time can be played at higher fps, as my recent video shows.

@geennaam

Since you mentioned the documentation. There is a Todo section:
Todo:

- Support for Digital Inputs (Both Optical and RCA)
- Create Docky
- Extend features of hdmixer
- Create Installion Script

Personally, I would be very happy with support Docky. Is there a chance that You realize this feature?

@kas1e

I have X50000 040, quite old U-Boot (March 18, 2018) NGFS BETA & SSD.

I noticed that the impact on the U-Boot start time can be connected to the mouse and keyboard (at least my Logitech devices extend the start by a few seconds). However, I have a KVM switch, which is default switched to the Amigaone X1000 support, so I always X5000 booted without a keyboard and mouse, which I switch only when I see the Workbench screen.

Re: Tutorial : How to install Warp3DNova, Bridge, MiniGL, Ogles2, and WarpOS emu

I make some tests. And there is no doubt that Nova Bridge is much more compatible than WRP 3D SI. Unfortunately, this cannot be said about the speed of games. On my X1000 and Radeon R9 270 (RadeonHD v3.7) Quake 3 (IoQuake) reaches in 1280x1024 72fps (W3DSI) and only 48FPS (Nova Bridge). Quake 2HD 1920x1080 48FPS (W3D SI) and 38FPS (Nova Bridge).

It's good that I have two computers. On the x5000 with the Polaris card I will use Nova Bridge for compatibility, and on the x1000 the Warp 3D SI is for speed.

The problem is not only Huno games. I also found a flashing fragment and much more blinking in the case of SOMS 3D.

Game link

Earlier I tried to run this game 3 times and always after resetting the system Quake 2 HD crashed. Now I try run game again I tried to collect logs and surprisingly the game did not crash. The only little problem I noticed is the blinking belt in the game menu. On the left you have X5000 040 Radeon RX & Nova Bridge, on the right x1000 Radeon R9 270 Warp 3D SI.

@kas1e

Ok, but I found another problematic game - Quake 2 HD. I have 100% working on the X1000 R9 270 and Warp3d SI. On the X5000 with Polaris RX560 and Nova Bridge I have 2 x GR window, if ignore errors then crash.
