I'd like to get some advice.
I have an A1200 for a short "visit" to make some photos, etc as it is for sale.
The config itself is an A1200 rev1d4 mobo, KS3.0, BlizzardPPC (040@25mhz and 603@240 Mhz), 64 MB ram, UWSCSI, FastATA, two CDRoms on the SCSI chain and 2 HDDs on the IDE.
Now, to install OS3.9 I want to softkick the 3.1 Kickstart rom. I was inserting the following line to the very beginning of the Startup-sequence:
C:Blizkick Devs:ROM3.1

If I start the machine to boot, it does the kick remap, but after reset, it tries to do it again... and again.
What did I miss to set as argument or attribute for the Blizkick command?
If I edit the Startup-sequence with ; on the Blizkick line, it boots fully the OS. I've been working on stuff like these so many years ago, just can't recall what is wrong.

Thanks all your help. I will have some time to check all these during the XMas period, so will dig myself into it completely. I'd say the CD is definitely good, bought an original copy a few weeks ago, tried and installed with no issue onto my mA1.
The rest I will check in the forthcoming days.

Yes, I still have the 256mb ram module.
I can test on one of the forthcoming days, really hope that at the end of the day I'll get a working config. Although not sure if 256 MB will be sufficient for daily use... Well, we will see.

one of my hdds I gave a go is the one I use in my mA1, and if I'm right, all NG AmigaOS creates SLB during install. The other I've tried was my former hdd in the same mA1 I used till it had the lightning hit.
So if this config can be completely built, it is really crystal clear magic. :( Don't know where to continue, albeit I'd like to use that config.
Just one thing came to my mind, if a1ide_conf should have to be set different? But I used the same ports again, as did with the blank HDD...

Okay, so on sunday I took out my hdd from my mA1 and the formerly used other one to attach to the A1XE.
The result? Still no boot, still no SLB found. I'm kinda disappointed, I really thought it can be set up for use. Dunno what else should I try...?

Anyone plays still Napalm? Would be curios if I could play against someone. :)

I will make photos about the card so that maybe will help to identify without booting in any config.

I will do the reset then, with removing all devices and cards except the CDRom drive.
The Radeon card I have is the one which was in it before, so practically only the formerly used HDD was removed from the case.

After loading the Kickstart the machine just stops. No reaction for any inputs.

Shouldn't SLB have to be installed during preparation of installing the os?

When the install cd is in the drive, the machine recognises the hdd and odd then starts to load the kickstart. After loading all modules it remains on that screen instead of starting the AOS boot process itself. The current memory module is an 512 mb one, formerly it had 256 mb only.

I know I know far less to progress well but where canI set A1ide_conf andother stuff?

Honestly I don't know, it does not have any label but pruduct number(s). It is a low profile red pcb with vga, dv-i and hdmi output. Gpu and ram chips are under a heatsink which covers roughly the 3/4th length of the card. Will check it later if I can identify somehow.

A week ago. That was one of the first thing I did.
I can set everything in prefs, also can start boot from the install cd although I had to try several drives and ribbon cables.

I'd like to ask for help.
I got an A1-XE a while ago, so bought an original OS4.1 CD to make it perfect with no issues.
Now I still have a problem as the machine stops during bootup. The kickstart files are loading but then the reset and switch to Amiga screen just doesn't happen.
The config is an A1-XE (G4@800 MHz, 512 mb ram, a Radeon PCI gfx card an an SB128 for audio.
Anything I should try? 🤔
