Ooh, nice to see some effort to make fixes to this program! Those UI bugs have been there for some time.
When sources were released I thought they will rot on github till the end of the world.

@nubechecorre As an alternative to multiple monitors I'd recommend using ultawide monitor. I've got 38" LG 38UC99 connected to both pc and X5000 and never looked back to dual monitor setup. https://www.lg.com/us/monitors/lg-38UC99-W-ultrawide-monitorOf course, this doesn't help much if you *really* need two separate monitors :D

@trixie Thanks for detailed description, it's very appreciated. Looks like this doesn't affect my setup - at least the Edirol UM-2ex has been working fine for many years. So, USB MIDI drivers are now part of the OS and not released separately like http://os4depot.net/index.php?functio ... e=driver/misc/usbmidi.lha ?

Good to hear it's improved! What was broken and when is the release date? :) Congrats on getting your studio gear up and running.

Am I the only one having problems with updater? Updated to the latest Enhancer software package a while ago and every time I start Updater it displays empty "Privacy notice V1.2" window and system refuses to respond after that.
Also, noticed that every software included in the pack has the same problems displaying About window (when selected thru menus Project > About). Just empty window and system hangs after that.
At first I thought it´s caused by some missing class or gadget which are used in both windows, but after installing Enhancer files manually found out that it didn´t help either.
Any tips appreciated :)

Get rid of the on-board audio (well, you don't have to actually solder it.. :) and use second hand SB Live card instead. As a bonus you might get few extra fps in change :)

Yes you may :) I'd like to know this as well who was brave enough to start working on this. I recall there were (several?) attempts to update Soundstudio earlier.
Any news about how the MIDI is going to be supported?

I've understood that goals of OpenAmiga projects are to enchance OS4. Certainly more would be possible and the best option (IMHO) is to replace icon based file listers completely. Or at least text based filelistings.
Even Filer's synopsis states "Create a replacement file lister that resembles the ones used in Diropus and Diropus Magellan."

@328gts Thanks! @MickJT Quote: i7s are quad cores with hyperthreading. Only 4 physical cores.
But with regard to WinUAE, the PPC emulation only runs on 1 core in a separate thread. So you need good single core performance, but at least a dual-core CPU. Ah, didn't know that.. I was just looking at the top-right corner cpu-meter and counted the bars :)

Emulation looks quite fast if we don't count that it has 8 3.5Ghz cores running the emulation ;)
I hope this will boost os4 sales and helps people to adapt to the platform more easily.

Plenty of good news from Amiwest this time. Just managed to install os4.1 on my peg2 few weeks ago, along with those millions of updates and now they've got 4.1 final coming. Good timing :) Quote: don't forget the news that A-EON has acquired the rights to octamed soundstudio and plan a native AOS4 version. that's a nice bit of news right there. It would be interesting to know if it's really the same Amiga version of Octamed SS or the newer pc-version they have rights to. I guess it's the first mentioned one which few people have tried to port earlier. Hope it's going to happen this time :) Any inside info who's doing the porting? It's good to see that Lyle has offered help already so I know that MIDI support will be in good hands \o/ Does Candi play "only" looped animation files in the wb-background or does it support rendering of code generated content?
