Spectre660 has done a fantastic job in getting Linux to work properly the Sam series. Everything works really well on my 460, including sound via a Julia card. Whilst Firefox works well and can be tweaked I recommend users install Opera v 10.63 PPC, it blows FF away for speed and I haven't even tweaked it yet, LibreOffice works well and quite fast as does Thunderbird, printing setup is a breeze with support for a vast range of modern printers. A big big thank you to Spectre660.

Thanks I read that before posting. What I don't get is why Amiupdate doesn't pick up all my installed program's that are on the database, noting that some do not have ENV entries.

I have been playing around with Amiupdate after noticing I have only 8
compatible programs listed within the program. I have many more than that
actually installed. How does Amiupdate retrieve the list of installed
compatible programs?

I also looked at some autoinstall scripts and noted they point to ENV to
retrieve information. I think I may have some issues with Autoinstall but I am
not sure as to how these scipts actually work. Can anyone explain.

Did you get the driver. I am quite amazed I have full control over printing and scanning now. Playing around with quality now but getting there. Have printed in color using Finalwriter just trying some other apps to see what works and what doesn't.

After reading this thread last night i tried using my HPC410a. It works perfectly with Photosmart driver. I can also scan directly to a usb key installed directly on the printer which also shows on workbench. This model alos works with eprint from email via HP.

Can anyone tell me how to try scanning from OWBMUI?

I read that this version needs to be started from CLI or was that fixed in the "a" update?

I am having trouble running PS5Pro under update 4, has anyone got it running ok? I did a fresh install of PS5Pro, the screen opens, loads my registration details then freezes the system.
