I just want to say thanks for those working on Odyssey, yes it's faster for some reason and that sites like youtube are working (login) is great :) .

@ChrisH

You can also scroll down a little bit to hide the snowflakes. Anyway it's off now.

@orgin

It would be good I think. When e-mailing a friend to show something a video says a lot.

Then it's up to the developer to decide if it's worth making a video or maybe some user makes a video instead.

Sounds like a good idea. Also if you let people visit the site videos are the best way of showing off software.

@TSK The 9000 Pro is the best to use with Warp3D of those older models. I remember reading that even the 9800 works but only in 2D if you got the right model.

The 9250 seems to be the most common gfx-card. Yes checking voltage is important and also depending on the model some gfx-cards works with the whole 256MB VRAM and some, like mine, use only half of the 256MB.

9000 Pro for maximum speed or 9250, preferably the 128-bit model seems to be the choices available for AGP and Warp3D.

Yes 3D is supported on the 9000 Pro.

Weird crashes began to happen when the iconify function was implemented and it happens when I use it randomly here. There are no pattern, it works fine most of the time but suddenly it crashes.

I think that compared to what are available on the internet that you might actually stumble upon when you google something it's pretty harmles.

Sex Games for the C64, I think most C64-users at least heard of that game and there where similar games available for the Amiga.

I don't enjoy them but I don't mind them either. It was good for a laugh back then .

What's the chance of a kid visiting the site, downloading, installing and playing the game?

Personaly I'd prefer an adventure-game without nudity in it though.

@PRPR

It looks good and I would say that Outrun is the inspiration?

Two questions though. How do make it fullscreen? And can it be played using the keyboard or is a joystick/joypad necessary?

Two thing that I'd like to see is in future versions are that when you restore the session only one tab will load, only one site and then only when you click on a tab. This is how FF works and it makes it faster at startup because of it and also it saves RAM. The other thing is that when I close a tab it doesn't return RAM, only when I quit Odyssey. I don't dare to use it too heavily because of this (not have too many tabs open).

I'd like to say thanks also! VICE is very important IMO and I love that package (especially the C64-emulator).

@BSzili

IIRC the emulator will crash when changing language for VICE, in my case from english to swedish. I have not seen a crash from runing a game.

I think that it's only the Competition Pro that got this problem. I have a joypad that works fine. On the other hand the Competition Pro works with UAE, Hatari and what not and from what I've read it also works fine on MOS and Windows so seems to be AOS 4.x specific.

It's a very nice word processing software for AOS, one of the best so I'm very much looking forward to it.

One question though, I got the version that was translated to swedish. Can any of that be used with the new version? I don't care that much about the program itself but rather the spelling and synonyms.

@kas1e

From what I've experienced it always sets all files to +rwed which might be fine till you get a script-file that won't run for example. At least here that's how it works and I've heard that it's a known bug?

Anyway, I was just wondering if it was fixed yet because other than that it's an excellent port and very nice to use . It's almost perfect for my needs except for that so I do hope that it'll get fixed eventually. Also thanks for the tip for getting the files listed in the same lister, perfect for me .

Happy easter!

EDIT: I missunderstood the part about showing files in the same lister, but it's still a nice suggested workaround so thanks for that!

@kas1e

Sorry for using this thread to ask this question but it's related to DOpus 5 and you seem to use it a lot so you might know. Might've been asked many times so sorry for that too.

Anyway, is the issue fixed when you unarchive a file and the protection are defaulted on files (or so it seems) instead of defaulting to the way it was when they where archived? It's the only thing missing for me making me still use DOpus 4 (which is still excellent as well).

Thanks for the explanation and yes that's pretty much the experience, it ended with a frozen system only a minute or so of gameplay (68k version). Interesting reading, thanks
