@Joerg

If you have a version based on SVN-r38423 its maybe one of the old internal beta i sent you for test )
Pretty possible that this pause bug was introduced after that...

@joerg

As Javier pointed out, its maybe only comp_yuv affected by this, but me can't be able to reproduce it with P96 drivers nor wpa/comp based one ones
As for the different versions around, we doesn't replace anything relevant from OS4depot yet (old archives from Mick and LiveForIt still there)
We had done currently 2 archives, one on OS4Depot that use AmiSSL5 and another one just re-compiled with OpenSSL
Both are based on same SVN/FFMpeg snapshot (SVN-38440/FFMpeg 6.0)

As far as i know the only changes applied in version from (12/27/2023) available on github is the use of OpenSSL instead of AmiSSL5!
Could you try if the version on OS4depot (AmiSSL5) have the same issue with the pause?

@khayoz

Does spacebar works for pausing if you just play a video from MPlayer and not from YT script?
Also does the "p" key (or pause option from MPlayer's menu) works instead?

@khayoz

Check if by any chance you may have another version of MPlayer installed somewhere, maybe YT script are trying to launch another version via AppPath.
Be sure it will use our latest version of the Player and that all paths are correct

@khayoz

Mmmm it works here in both fullscreen and window mode...
What video driver are you using?
Did you launched MPlayer from MPlayer-GUI or standalone?

In Conf/input.conf check if you have set SPACE to pause

As @McFly has also recognized, it is not possible to switch from window mode to full screen without using the GUI. I tried it with ALT+F/ALT+Enter/Amiga+F/Amiga+Enter/F11 or are we just using the wrong key combination ?

Automatic switch between window/fullscreen mode (and viceversa) are not yet implemented i believe

@LiveForIt

On SDL2 under OS4 we mostly uses ALT+Enter

WarpSnes use native solution for graphics (P96) while the version from HunoPPC still uses SDL for everything.
That's probably the main reason, also latest 1.62 snapshot are slower anyway

@LiveForIt

We still have two different binaries, one compiled for machines that support AltiVec, and another one (generic) that will work everywhere.... the only thing we have fixed is that if you now try to run an AltiVec executable on a CPU that doesn't support it, we now have a simple alert requester instead of a crash

@Gregor

Our version of MPlayer should work with MPlayer-GUI 1.61.
The only known issue was that in MPlayer 1.5 not all video drivers were shown in the list.. there was a limit of viewable video outputs which has now been resolved ..
A new version should be availible soon though

It's probably even older, but the file date of the last version of my vo_amiga.c I found was 30.04.2014.
IIRC I implemented it for MPlayer version 0.9 or 1.0, glad you got something working out of this mess even with current MPlayer versions.

In 2014 we were already at version 1.0, I think LiveForIt was already working on it.
This vo_amiga.c is however more recent and complete than the old p96 outputs we had before (P96PIP and PIP).

The only thing we haven't managed to implement yet is the fullscreen :-/

Quote:
It's useless for current hardware, the PIP/overlay parts were only supported by some ancient gfx cards like Merlin, Voodoo 3/4/5, ATI R100/R200, etc.

It's not useless, it's only a driver for older graphics cards... not everyone has the possibility to install RadeonHD/RX graphics cards on their Amiga ...
