@kas1e

Thank you very much indeed for your work! Odyssey 1.23 works very well on my A1-X1000. I can see YouTube videos in 360p. I like the new "thetopsites" site.

Hi All,

This is my last Linux post. I have decided to exit the Linux threads in this forum.

You find the last Linux downloads by Spectre660 on www.supertuxkart-amiga.de/amiga/sam.html .

There are some screenshots of Linux PPC on Sams in the following thread: http://www.a1k.org/forum/showthread.php?p=699699#post699699 .

Do you want to continue to get news about Linux on the AmigaOne X1000, please visit the Linux PPC areas on Amiga.org and on Amigaworld.net.

Rgds,
Christian

Sorry, but it's true. He has quit the Linux support because of this thread. It's over. I have decided to exit the Linux threads in this forum.

@kas1e

I know that the OS4 development team work much harder and faster then the Linux team. But most of their work is secret (NDA). A lot of things were not posted in the Hyperion forum. Nevertheless the OS4.1 developer do a lot and more than the Linux developer. Our work is open and we can give more information to the community.

Don't worry about the OS4.1 developing.

Do you need any information about Linux on NG Amigas in this forum?

If not, then I'll stop the Linux threads in this forum.

@ddni

Don't worry about OS4.1 development. We had a lot of updates last year (Amiupdate). More than Linux updates

A lot of new software: MUI4, Odyssey, RunInUAE, YAM etc.

I'm very satisfied with the OS 4.1 development.

Don't worry. I work for A-EON. And I know that the OS4 development team work much harder and faster then the Linux team. But most of their work is secret (NDA). Our work is open and we can give more information to the community. But we also have a small NDA. ;)

@kas1e

That's only your opinion. I use my A1-X1000 for both worlds. For my Amiga hobby I use OS4.1. And with a fast reboot (SSD yeah!) Linux for my professional work. I need only one computer.

Anyway, I will continue to look into this thread. And if no one wants more information about Linux, then I'll stop the postings. Is it OK for you?

We love AmigaOS 4.1 but we need Linux for our professional work on NG Amigas. The Linux team have also contributed for the Odyssey bounty.

Is it really bad to get information about Linux on NG Amigas?

Hi All,

I'm sorry about your worry with the Linux threads. Spectre and I work hard day for day for you to give you a good Linux support. But if you don't like Linux, then we can stop our work for you.

All the best,

Spectre660 has released the kernel 3.13 for all Sams.

Downloads:

Sam440ep-3.13.0.tar.gz
Sam460ex-3.13.0.tar.gz

Note: The Radeon Dynamic Power Management doesn't work. You have to add the argument and the value "radeon.dpm=0" to the boot arguments. For example:

/boot/menu.lst

title Ubuntu
kernel
/boot/uImage root=/dev/sda10 radeon.dpm=0 console=ttyS0,115200 console=tty0
dtb
/boot/canyonlands.dtb

Hi All,

I'm proud to announce the release of the Linux Kernel version 3.13.0 for the AmigaOne X1000.

New: http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=search&q=Linux+3.13

Note: The Radeon Dynamic Power Management doesn't work. You have to add the argument and the value "radeon.dpm=0" to the bootargs. For example:

setenv bootargs "root=/dev/sda4 radeon.dpm=0"

Download: vmlinux-3.13.0-AmigaOneX1000.tar.bz2

For development only:

Ben has not solved the boot problems. I had to add Olof's patches to the Nemo patch file.

Have a lot of fun with the new kernel.

- Christian
