** FIXED ** I booted to early boot, USB RESET in command line thinking somehow maybe it was affecting how my X5K boots and seeing some USB not there??? Anyway, USB Reset without any USB stick near my X5K haha and she boots direct to AmigaOS now!
See the video for what happens.
I had been playing around in the Early Boot Menu to attempt to boot from a MorphOS USB stick, but after tinkering in there, my X5000 won't autoboot into AmigaOS any more. I get this jibber-jabber about reset board. The video will show that text.
I can boot though and select AmigaOS from the early boot menu and the X5K boots to AmigaOS fine.
What did I do. haha.
Do I need to adjust or save something to autoboot from the hard drive after just tinkering in early boot?
I don't recall changing anything.
Thanks

I think if you have no AmigaOne at the moment, you can for sure get a complete A1222 cheaper than an X5K Motherboard alone, and sure over time more stuff will happen for the A1222.
The day (if) multicore in the OS does happen, I think a whole fresh breath of life can happen in the Amiga OS on PPC world we live in.
Extra power never hurt anyone other than Tim Allen. haha
Same here, it's just too costly at this point. I understand prices go up, and things happen, but this much of an increase is too much for this poor man to afford.
If they could have sold boards alone in the $600 range and full systems for $999, more would sell and bring a few folks out of the woodwork to buy, but at $1600 that is a huge chunk of change for a full system.
I wish them the best though and hope they sell all those 110 they have made.
Will add 4k later to my manual settings but for now, after twaddling and finding some notes I made long ago (amazing I found them haha) that I needed to set Hsync higher than I think what seemed normal at the time. hahaha.
Hsync coming in at just under 89...88.86 khz so I set manually to 89 and vertical at 60 and boom, 2560x1440 shows now
Thanks. Yeh been playing all morning. Had tried 61, then 62, etc... so far I have not found one that works. haha
I have a TCL 43S515 TV, which is a 4K TV.
Ranger shows VSync min 23 and max 76 so I changed up to 76 in Screenmode but no go. Then tried 61 I think.
I have tried so many variations I go lost where I last ended. haha
HSync is 15000 min and 81000 max.
Adjusted those in ScreenMode but still, that 1440 eludes me.
So odd it worked fine on the Radeon HD7750.
Maybe just an issue with my new RX580?
Anyway, I will keep tinkering but so far seems 1080p may be what I have to use, for now. 4K is just too small for my eyes and seems Workbench skitters around in 4K and does not seem right for me, clunky maybe even.
Going to see about downloading the TV manual and see what syncs it has as maybe I need to adjust those for the manual setting for 1440 to show. That is next. haha tj
Lastly, for those following along, I also renamed my and also replaced too as a last resort the Devs/Monitor to various names just in case after seeing the name of the GPU in Ranger.
Tried RadeonRX, Radeon RX, and Radeon RX Polaris10
No advancing and getting 1440p as an option and on that real HP Omen 32", nothing past 640x480 using Auto Detect.
Stalemate for me as of now. May just have to go 1080p or 4K. haha.
Maybe a setting in manual for 1440 is off on mine.
One more video just in case this all goes back to an old 2014 Radeon HD 7700 Series in my Devs Monitor. Maybe this one needs to be altered, or made new?
In my quest to get 1440p on this 4k TV, again been using it as 1440p for years on my Radeon HD7750 and made zero changes to my Screenmode prefs, I would think the new RX580 that can do 1440 should have just worked. Since it did not, I set AutoDetech on and it offers all less 1440p.
So, connect to a REAL computer monitor, an HP Open 32" that does up to 2.5k, but comfortable at 1080p as well, yet Screenmode on AutoDetect does not even see past 640x480? What?
See attached video.
Confused.
Maybe my ScreenMode prefs that were perfect for a Radeon 7750 need to be wiped out and a new one created named Radeon RX580 or something?
I am blind to that and figured things should have at least shown 1080p on a real monitor yet seems bogged down to 640x480 as the video shows.
