I will make a video later in hopes someone can see what may be going wrong.
Before posting I tried many things with and without the D Mode on and off.
It should need the D mode so most tests were done there.
With D Mode on the closest any of the movement pads do is stop the Santa from moving automatically to the right and stops him.
When you play the game from keyboard and press left arrow he changes body direction so you can shoot behind you, etc...
That never happens when using the gamepad. It is all move to the right or stop and stay pointing right.
I also tried AmigaRacer and fire button steps on the pedal I guess and the game starts but no left and right from any D Pad or other controller units in or not in D mode.
Only thing that works is fire in the few games I tried.
Zero left and right or up and down.
In AmigaInput it sees all movement direction from the D Pad as it seems it should.
EDIT #2. Success. Appears my AmigaInput was not saving for some reason even though I clicked safe. I went through all 4 calibrations and seems to be working in the two games I tried.
THANKS ALL!
EDIT... added this video.
Let me start by saying I have never used or had any joystick or gamepad installed and working on my AmigaOne X5K.
Also, I am upgraded to Update 3 as well.
On good authority I purchased the Logitech F310 Gamepad as a good working with both AmigaOS 4.1 games and also RunInUAE games as well.
AmigaInput sees the new controller and I can move the D Pad and it move the calibration tool but I can't get any games to work with the controller.
I tried a couple games like Santa's Monster Shootout which is a simple left, right, shoot. The shoot button shoots BUT no D Pad to move the Santa.
In RunInUAE games nothing as well.
Setting issue?
I tried front case usb as well as top row on motherboard too.
Is my X5K just being a turnip? lol
Anyone here use a gamepad with Update 3? Maybe new USB stack issue?

Not in front of my Amiga right now as I am trying to get moving to get some chores done (large dump run today fighting the rain beating down on me haha) but on your SYS partition you need to locate and open the C directory and look for that DIR you have in there, maybe rename it so you know to switch back if something goes more haywire, and copy into your C the older one you may have on your Amiga OS emergency/installer disk.
I think some people had newer Enhancer versions than I did and those may have worked but I did not so used an older one and then RunInUAE installed.
I think the one I grabbed from my old Amiga OS CD was dating back to 2012 or something. 53.3 or something going off some notes I had.
I think my old thread showed I had some enhancer 54.x version and may have been my issue. Unsure if your issue but that is what worked for me.
I had this isse about 1 year ago. My DIR was a newer enhancer one and it appears to have had a hiccup.
Per a friends request, he recommended I try "Replace the Enhancer dir command in c directory with the original OS version. You could rename the Enhancer version to keep it available if you need to for some reason."
I grabbed the older DIR from my Amiga OS installer and then was able to install RunInUAE.
Can't get the joystick to work but can play keyboard based games so far.
After rebuilding my X5K after my borked drive incident, and since I don't have Candi now, I did try to install II on my Updated 3 X5K. It failed the 1st time but was because I forgot to install the PNG_IM app from OS4 Depot.
I take it you still have that on yours?
Other than that, I tried a 2nd time and it did install.
Post removed. I thought maybe you were not 100% logged on and why it does not see you and the downloads link appearing. Bummer. Hope they can fix you up.
I needed to laugh at myself and what better to make a video about it.
Did you ever think you would hear FUNKY B!TCH OS or discussion of an Amiga Commune where LOVE is in the air of Amiga Orgies, then this video may make you laugh a while if you watch the whole thing.
In the end, I am sure a few here will enjoy my foibles in the lands of Miggie!
I do keep a "when the shit hits the fan" bootable hdd with an older Amiga OS 4.1 Update 1 for cases like this so have resorted to at least getting a booting Amiga OS X5K again.
Of course this means trying to either dissect what went wrong and nit pick to see what is needed for the corrupt drive or just bite the bullet and start over, and since this drive I have been using for the last 2 to 3 years was setup with that older NGFS that I understand can have issues, a good time to start fresh with a different file system and rebuild a nicer X5K again with RX580 and all that later.
For now I am back to Radeon 7750 and that is where I stop for today and thanks to my emergency SHTF HDD I keep at all times.
I just need to get me a newer all in one USB for this next time.
For now I went ahead and slapped my old Radeon 7750 back in and boot from an emergency sata hdd I had with an older Radeon driver and Amiga OS 4.1 Update 1. She boots at least.
Plan is to start fresh though and when I can install a new SSD and will do updates 1,2, and 3, and then minimum enhancer this time for main important drivers only and see how that goes.
Then will explore a MorphOS dual boot again later as that is now not working since switching to the older drive.
Anyway, that error seems to be "i can't find a good OS to boot from" and switching to an emergency backup at least I know my X5K runs.
This next time I will explore making a new USB stick with newer drivers or buy one from AmigaKit should they ever get back to me.
Don't mind buying a nice AMiga logo stick if they have one all set.
My buddy Mikey found me some older threads of the exact error I get although these are pre Update 3 of course.
But same error.
Has me baffled it just started working days later after all sorts of card swaps and this and that.
No idea if this new Update 3 has anything to do with boot up issues but anyway, if ya wanna see that others have had this error, this may be an eye opener.
