How many are going? doesn't look like there will be much spare space and its a pity it is only for one day, but I can go with A1Xe and CDTV.

@broadblues
as it happens I too am having problems accessing my dvd rw drives after OS4.1 Final is installed and the only way I can get the install disk icons to show up is with one of the dosdrivers from storage now in Devs. and also plugging in non usb mouse and keyboard
If I boot from the install disk everything works ok, but the installation has created problems wih my sound, I can't get the boot tune to play although the card works and with usb aswell. I had no such problems before installing final.
I'm not complaining, but it also knocked out my cygnix partition and I had to completely reinstall that.
work in progress.

@BeLucid,
have you checked that your CD/DVD devs dosdriver is pointing to unit 3 usually they are set to unit 1 by default

A few things to Iron out, to be sure but the site looks slick and i was able to buy a couple of items with Paypal without any problems. Yes the return to
Amistore stuck for me too but tbh that happens with a lot of websites.
Thankyou Trevor and all his team, your hard work is much appreciated here.
I would like to know what the situation will be regarding previously registered and purchased software will be considering we have already made signifcant investments at the time of puchase regarding such software. If it is the case that the software on Amistore has been optimised or upgraded for OS 4.1 then i see no reason not to charge a small sum for it for example Personal Paint. But if it is old software added to the site to sell then i would like to see a way indicating that the software has been already registered, and not incur a charge for it

i notice Amiwebview2 and Amiphoto are available, I already have registered copies of these programs, have they been updated or optimized for OS4.1?

I for one am looking forward to see what Radiance can do even though I am one the 10 year old system owners. I can only apologise for not being able to afford a newer machine, but I try to support as much as is within my means. Of course if I win the lottery then I will invest just like Trevor has. In the meantime I can only sit and wait in grateful anticipation for the fruits of all his hard work and that of all involved with AmigaOS. long may they continue

Treat and Check the cpu module very carefully. the capacitors around the edge of the board are susceptible to breaking their connection at the legs. Also check the cpu model. some A1XEG4 have had cpu modules repaired and in some cases the cpu has been upgraded for example from 8455 to 8457. the latter cpu's are much less temperature critical. So if you have an 8455 I recommend you monitor cpu temp even if you have good cooling.

I haven't had time to have another look at this problem yet , I may have a spare day next week, but at the moment I have too many other commitments. Have not given up on this though.

@ Raziel I will try that next time I get a spare moment. I am not a coder so I will check here. semi colon at the start of the line to comment out Yes?
@ Radov I did try the 66 MHz PCi socket just out of curiosity and it doesn't even show up in u-boot, no cursor, nothing.
I will persevere with this, I didn't give up when the cpu went and I certainly wont with this.
@ Hans what would the difference be between the pex 8111 and the 8112? is the latter just an upgraded chip but pin for pin replacement?

Ok I will try that, bridge chip on this adaptor is pex8111, would that not affect u-boot screen too if it didn't work? i'll see if I can find an adaptor with 8112 chip as well.

if it helps I have another pci-e graphics card and the same thing happens with that one. it is a Radeon X1650SE. so I don't think getting another card will help.

Re: RadeonHD and A1XEG4

I have an AGP graphics card Radeon 9000
but version pci graphics card installed is 53.5
My guess is that a module is blocking the continuation of the boot process, but I cannot determine which one without isolating them one at a time. is there a way of slowing down the boot process so that I can see where the kickstart module loading stops?

Re: RadeonHD and A1XEG4

it shows u-boot screen, you can see all the kick start modules load and then the cursor just sits there blinking. If i have both cards connected the hd card will load up to that point but the radeon9000 will only show a blank screen witht he cursor blinking.
yes the hd card will work by itself up to the kickstart modules loading up
