Re: the best way to remote use of real os4 machine ?

The best way is still VNC but it will be slow since OS4 CPU will be used to create the images to be sent to the client.

NewLib error with Media Player
Just can't stay away
Just can't stay away

Hello,

Nearly everytime I want to go on m.youtube.fr (spoofing as iPad or iPhone), I get this error message :

Resized Image

And from this point, i cannot use Emotion or DvPlayer anymore : they crash whenever I want to play a video.

Is this a known bug?

In Odyssey, I deactivated everything related to MP4, WebM, FLV or OGG support since I manly use aitostreams scripts to watch YT videos.

What is the exact name of your monitor file?
What is the number indicated in CMPLENGHT in your monitor's TOOLTYPES?

@sailor

They do work but it seems many Amigans have had troubles making their card work (many different cards, lots of noname, on the market).

And BTW those that work are overkill for ou systems (they won't go faster than any RX560).

Most cards will just work indeed (this is not true for the RX 580).

Buy a RX560 card (the RX580 is overkill and the RX550 is not that fast).

Put it in the 4x PCIe slot (it won't fit in the 1x BTW).

@amigakit

Not you directly but your hosting service I guess.

I have fallen back on my second connexion (I have two connexions at home, in case one is down) and I could finalize the purchase :)

So indeed, my usual IP cannot access Amisphere since a few days (I could access it last week-end).

Thanks. So it must be a problem with my account (or my IP which is banned from it since I cannot access amisphere.com).

Hi,

Since yesterday I'm trying to connect to AmiStore or Updater but it cannot connect. If I try to connect to https://www.amisphere.com it doesn't work either.

Waiting for it to get back online to be able to buy Novabridge.

But this version must be too old I presume.

Edit : there is even a forum here on Amigans : https://www.amigans.net/modules/newbb/viewforum.php?forum=38

@Deniil

You patch is indeed very useful since I get no more freeze but it causes tearing when playing videos with Emotion or DvPlayer.

So let's wait for an updated driver :)

So far, no freezes.

Hi !

After having tried to make an RX 580 work in my X1000 and failed, I purchased an RX 560 and it work with the CFE hack.

Still some weid freezes in Emotion (video stops playing). I have installed Deniil's patch and reverted the INTERRUPTS to YES. We'll see how it comes along.

Thanks for this thread :)
