Re: TCP/IP Printer on Sam440 ?

@freddix
Yes. In addition to the lpr.device configuration, you must also select a printer driver. I don't think there are any drivers which support Brother printers. Sometimes basic text printing can be done using the "generic" driver included with OS4. Also, if the printer supports Postscript, the "postscript" driver may work. I looked up your printer specifications and it does not seem to support Postscript. But, you can try it and let us know.

@Raziel
I've used both 100Mhz and 133Mhz configurations, but I did not notice any performance difference on my XE 800 Mhz CPU. Most of the time I tried 2 sticks, the computer would not boot. It may have been from my memory bus speed setting, but I don't remember. I'll have to it again sometime.
Somewhere I have a box of a dozen 512MB and 1GB sticks for the AmigaOne. When I find it, I should probably sell them to other users here who need them.

I can mount Windows shares just fine using SMBFS, but it has a file access size limitation of 4GB, and has trouble with files that start with a dot.

Does anyone know if you can mount Windows shares on OS4 using Samba instead?

Trying Amigans.net

Howdy, I'm not a new Amiga user, but I am new to this website. I've been dedicated to Amigaworld.net, but got tired fo the site for the following reasons in order of priority.

1) People who contribute nothing, but keep expecting other people to provide something.
2) x86 supporters who live in a fantasy where everyone in the world will magically use an Amiga.
3) People who ask questions that were already answered in the same thread they were posting in.
4) AROS

I live in Utah, USA and have:
1x SAM Flex 800 Mhz
1x AmigaOneXE 800 Mhz
1x Amiga4000 PPC
1x Amiga1000 packed away

I'll be displaying some of the above hardware at the Las Vegas Commvex gathering next weekend.
