as other has stated before me: Clean the board, and THEN you can put it in a bag with rice for a few days. The rice will help you suck out the water.

Did you download http://os4depot.net/share/driver/storage/diskimage_device.lha ?

It has a gui, when diskimage device is started it can be acessed from the tools menu. Just right click on the mouse when you're in workbench and go to the toolsmenu and choose diskimage to bring up the gui.

It's worth a try, it's cheap and makes the uA1 so much more usuable so it's worth every cent.

Seems to work well here on my pegasos2! :)
The cpuload is ok also except for when displaying moving objects like gif anims, even the blinking cursor key that is displayed while typing generates high cpuload but i'm sure it will be better in future updates.

I thought of that but unfortunately my PC doesn't have a serial port.

.

Acording to your signature you have a Sam 440 Ep, doesnt that one have a serial port? =)

otherwise you can buy usb-rs232 adaptors for almost nothing on ebay.

a new improved pdf reader sounds good, for me it doesn't matter if it's mui or reaction based and kas1e usually delivers so donating a few bucks to this bounty can't be bad

@SpotUP

Is QPutty a simple port? :) http://qputty.sourceforge.net/
a lot of people are crying out loud because there's no decent way to use SSH on AmigaOS including me so if anyone with brains could take a look at it i would be grateful. i think i'we read in older threads about putty that someone has ported most of the stuff but the gui part was the difficult part so i tought that now with QT gui it would be possible.

I'm also intrested in some kind of ssh client. the lack of this is sometimes the main reason for me to not bootup my pegasos2

Quote:
INSTALLATION For real OS3 Amiga 68k just run PatchWarp3D For real OS4 PPC
Amiga just run PatchWarp3D-ppc Let the window opened and click Ctrl C inside
to disable the patch You can test the patch efficiency with Aminet/Cow3D and
keys 'e' elements=W3D_DrawElements 'p' points=W3D_DrawPoint 'l'
line=W3D_DrawLine '0' zero=big lines/points

So yes, you have to repatch warp3d everytime you reboot your amiga

i don't think i have ever used the network wizard, it's usually faster to configure ethernet stuff manually.

@GrumpyOldMan

I have read somewhere on amigaworld that the uA1 can work with a better gfx card but to get it working you have to disable USB & IDE dma so i don't think it's worth it. USB is not so hard to live without but the IDE dma thing is worse imho

One good thing about the uA1 is that it doesn't seem to suffer from the battery problem A1 has and it doesn't require any fixes to use IDE dma & ethernet at the same time.

@Eldritch

How have you jumpered your devices? i have always used cable select on my pegasos machines.

Well it's strange that it works when you boot from the cd and otherwise not anyway but make sure you're using cable select since that *should* work.
