@Severin Thank you for your suggestions... as I said, I am an eternal newbie Now another script. You know that the latest Pagestream for OS4 PPC can only print to postscript. What if you don't have it ? Print to a file into RAM, name it out.ps and run my script, then print with AmiPDF. I know, Pagestream can export directly into PDF, but if you go through PDF, it gives better results. You can use the Acrobat.Distiller PPD that comes with Pagestream. ************************** stack 200000 ghostscript:gs -q -dNOPAUSE -sDEVICE=pdfwrite -r360x360 -sOutputFile=ram:pgs.pdf ram:out.ps -c quit requestchoice "PDF" "Document ready" "OK" >NIL: ************************** Luca

@Severin
here a small primitive script I did to allow me to sleep a few minutes and wake up with the music I choose. You should edit the path to Amigaamp or choose another player if you want !
Have fun

@spotUP
I have the version 1.6 (I think it is the last one on the web site). It has BIG problems with the memory. It says it can't allocate memory. Could it be a problem with the ADDCHIPRAM command in the user-startup?

> Great news. What did you change to get it working?
First I had a pin bowed (not broken... puff puff), then the connection was hooked the wrong way, I chonged one part, then the other one, then both, then I came finally with the right system... The pin 0 on both the mb and the floppy drive are difficult to spot. You told me it was where the power lead came, but it was the other way...
Sorry for the trouble, and again, many thanks

Hello, I'm glad to say that I could solve my floppy and usb problems. In fact, it was one only problem. After playing still a while with the floppy connections, it started to work, and at the same time I got back my USB.
A big thank you to everybody who wanted to help me!

I had linux many years ago, and it worked, and later I did my uboot updates with the floppy...

no and no... The led goes on only during boot

Another BIG problem for me:
my USB flash-card reader is no more recognized. I enabled it in UBOOT, where it gets recognized (it flashes and stays on), but when the Kickstart is loaded, it goes to sleep, all lights off, and I can no more access it.
USB inspector doesn't know it is attached. And yes, I tryed to give the commands ubsctrl start and restart, with no results at all.
AmigaOne G4 non fixed. I really need my card reader!

I did it, with no result, besides:
========================================= 4.Workbench:> fdtool u 0 c Requesting a check now on drive 0 4.Workbench:> fdtool u 0 i Current state of A1Floppy Drive Unit 0 Version: 52 Revision: 2 Controller state: free Debug level: 0 Task readiness state: ready Disk state: drive empty Drive status: ST0=20 ST1=00 ST2=00 ST3=00 Drive currently on cylinder 0 Driver state: Interrupt state 0 Data count 0, status count 0 Unit Open count: 3 Change number: 0 Recovered errors this disk: 0 Config word: 00000000 ==========================================
The disk is not loaded

PicShow freezes immediately the whole A1. I have to push the reset button.
The CD-RW device never worked and still doesn't work for me. If I use FormatCDWR (whatever), the button "format" gives always an error. I suspect it is my drive.

@ tonyw:
> What sort of disk is in the drive?
I tryed some old PC formatted disks, both HD and DD
> What does "fdtool (u 0) info" say?
It says:
Version: 52 Revision: 2 Controller state: free Debug level: 0 Task readiness state: ready Disk state: drive empty Drive status: ST0=20 ST1=00 ST2=00 ST3=00 Drive currently on cylinder 1 Driver state: Interrupt state 0 Data count 0, status count 0 Unit Open count: 3 Change number: 0 Recovered errors this disk: 0 Config word: 00000000
But the drive should not be empty. An I don't get any icon on the WB, so no format possible. What if I wont to read PC disks?

@ tonyw :
Thanks. I fiddled a while with the cable. Now the fdreader is recognised by media toolbox, but the disks are not accessed. The command "fdtool u 0 c" returns only:
"Requesting a check now on drive 0"
without any result (no led, no noises, nothing).

I can't get the floppy to work at all.
I hadit unplugged from the A1, and now, when I plug it, the A1 doesn't boot... I am afraid, I don't hook it the right way. Where can I find a schematic or the connection?
