@ToAks

So it IS still gonna happen then.

That's good news.

It would be nice to see a 68k version released as well -- even with a limited feature set.

Truthfully, the only real change I'm interested in is better icon support (PNG, etc) -- for obvious reasons.

However, at this point, I'd even settle for being able to purchase a license for the "old" version.

Any word on the US/Canada copies? Are they back from the printer?

At the risk of being (more of) a pest -- are the US/Canada copies of TA back from the printer yet? Or better yet -- have they been mailed?

Thanks.

I'd call that a critical update!

Heh, heh -- just kidding.

Thanks for all the hard work, Jan.

That's weird -- usually when I finish something, I have parts left over!

WookieChat is probably the application that I use most of all on the Amiga (even more than IconEdit!).

If there's anyone left who hasn't tried it, they ought to -- it's a fantastic program.

Very nice Santa...

The only thing that looks a little strange is the 'Stop' sign in the status bar. Maybe a little gradient of white border will soften it.

The white border is too harsh? I'll have to fix that (tomorrow!)

Still hoping that the IB team releases the hi-color versions at some point.

Edit: Think I might center the stop sign too -- looks a little wonky down in the bottom corner like that.

Okay.

While I was at it, I redid my tranfer animation with the new icon too.

Edit: Adjusted the 'stop sign' images, per Mason's suggestion in the next message.

Any chance that the hi-color images (toolbars, etc) seen in Ikir's screenshot will be released?

Any chance you can come up with a set looking like this for us mere OS3x guys? ;)

Closest that could be done in OS3.x is PNG icons -- and those wouldn't have an alternate state.

These are Mason's Icons -- maybe if you ask nicely, he'll create PNG versions of them.

(Doubt it, though -- since this is part of what makes OS4 "unique" from the earlier AmigaOS versions)

Wow! Very nice.

I downloaded a few of them, but of course, they looked completely scrambled here (3.0 and old icon.library).

Thanks for the screenshot.

Without tweaking, only trying some settings. I've already changed things now (wb bar.. ecc).

Thanks, Ikir -- that's what I was looking for!

New icons! The best part.

Assuming that these are for the "new" icon.library -- so we mere 3.x mortals will have to use our imagination.

Please post LOTS of screenshots!

Congratulations!

Re: first test IB2.4

Personally, I'm having an amazing success rate with 2.4 -- javascript hasn't been broken anywhere I've tried and things just generally work better (plus, it's faster).

Did you go out looking for sites that would make IB look bad? Seems like you could pretty much do that with *any* browser -- what's the point?

If you don't want to use it, then don't.

I updated my IB icons this morning to match Mason's new logo design.

Still need to update my toolbars & transfer animation -- but those are bigger jobs (and will have to wait until after the holidays).
