@Mikey_C

Except that the original source is MooBunny -- and the poster admitted that he faked it.

@Alkaron

Very cool.

I've never seen a demo of OS4 on the 1200 before -- not as fast as on an A1, but not bad at all.

Wonder whose system that was?

Yep -- and icons left to paint!

Been at this for 5 weeks -- about 100 done -- about 900 to go!

KX Light Installation
This page is expected to go online when the next version of KX Light is released. It is scheduled to cover installation of KX Light to both hard disk and USB storage devices.

In the meantime, you may want to refer to the Knoppix documentation.

Thank you for your patience.

That message has been on the Amiga Forever KXLight installation page for years (two versions have come and gone since that was posted).

I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for those instructions (I gave up long ago).

Having said that -- someone DID post that they had success getting it installed to harddisk. You might try searching over at Amigaworld.net to see how they did it.

@Mason

Very cool!

"I" think they look awesome!

Edit: The StartBar thing looks cool too -- thought it was AmiStart at first (what I'm currently using).

Too bad all this stuff is restricted to OS4 users.

Hey guys sorry about the delay on the TA mailing. I had a health issue to deal with.

Thanks for the update!

Hope you're well -- health (and family) issues must ALWAYS come first.

He is using a DCE CDROM adapter (which is a 4-way IDE splitter, much like Idefix), can that cause problems with OS3.9?

Not sure if this is the problem -- just a thought.

From the OS3.9 FAQ:

Quote:
Q: "scsi.device" from DEVS:AmigaOS ROM Update is installed unneccessarily, which erroneously overwrites some third-party controller software calling itself "scsi.device". Is there a workaround for this? (Controllers affected: Buddha, Catweazel IDE, X-Surf IDE, IDEfix Express).

A: Rename "DEVS:AmigaOS ROM Update" or put:

SetPatch SKIPROMUPDATES "scsi.device"
in "Emergency-Disk:S/Startup-Sequence"

@AmiKit

Heh, heh -- it struck me that I could do "other" colors in that chrome/aqua look.

Silly stuff -- but maybe someone can use it.

ScummVM 0.9.1 68k Released

Version 0.9.1 of ScummVM for 68k was just released (Jan 2, 2007).

ScummVM is probably my favorite "game" (actually a collection of games) -- nice that it's still being updated for 68k.

@EARTHLING

Are you located in the US or Canada?

Those copies are printed separately from the rest. Still haven't heard if they've even been printed yet.

maybe a idea to explain to everyone what ZUNE is?

Zune is the AROS MUI clone.

However, this is a port to "Classic AmigaOS" (maybe just 3.9 -- not sure).

The advantages are (as far as I can see) that you get all those cool visuals effects that MUI for OS4 & MOS have, it's still developed for AmigaOS3, and it's free!

@Amigaz

Bah! Who needs installers?

(just kidding)

I'm more interested in being able to use external images (have a set ready to go!). No idea if/when that will ever happen, though.
