Re: napalm from clikboom and os 4.1

@Sir_Lucas

Thanks for the hints.

Did not try the demo version yet.
Renaming Audio.DreictPaula in full version did not help. I don't even reach the menu screen (I know only saved games are working).

After the intro screen (where the PXL logo is unreadable since its GFX is sth. like scrambled in lines and columns) the screen stays black and the CPU reached 100%.

The only time I had the PXL logo shown correctly was when I startet CrimsonCrisis manually setting the necessary assigns when the appropriate requester appeared. But after again after the intro the screen stays black.

This also happens when clicking the PXL logo away without watching the intro.

Blacklisting of crimsoncrisis did not help either.

Other hints are welcome!

The demo (1.1) runs and with NallePuh I can even listen to the ingame sounds. But I cannot play the demo since I cannot choose any unit nor building, the entire map is visible from beginning (maybe this was always the case in the demo version?) and the map scrolls automatically as soon as I move my mouse pointer to some screen border!

The graphics are scrambled vertically and seem to be adjusted every second just to scramble again in the next second. This repeats all the time.
Do I have to use another c2p routine than Suzy?

So well the demo version runs but seems to be useless (and way to fast)!

Best Regards

@retro

I've installed RTG Master including AOS4 fixes.

I also tried with NallePuh and CrimsonCrisis blacklisted and with JIT.

Always the same: Black screen after intro.

The only thing I haven't done yet is creating the low res screens.
But honestly I don't think they would change anything.

@Gebrochen

I'd like to repeat this question: Did someone manage to get it running on AOS4.1 (on PegII)?

How to start external programs MIME-Type depending
Just popping in
Just popping in

Hello altogether,

is there any way how to start external apps automatically depending on the given (MIME-)Type of the downloaded file?

For example when clicking on a PDF: How to tell OWB that the document should be sent to AmiPDF instead of just being downloaded.

Is there any chance to do so with OWB?

Many thanks in advance

Adding compiler paths
Just popping in
Just popping in

Hi All,

due to the documentation it should be possible to add the Compiler Paths which in turn are included into the build process.

Unfortunately Codebench 0.8 does not allow any changes within the Compiler's settings window at all!

Is this due to the SE-Version? I could not read anything about this within the documentation.

Since I'm not firm to make I'm not sure how to set a couple of paths behing the INCPATH variable correctly!

Also stressing Google for things like gcc make INCPATH or make INCPATH did not lead to any usable result!

If somebody could help here it would be more than appreciated!

Many thanks in advance!

@retro

Here it works on A4000 within AOS4.

There is a GR that must be satisfied with the ignore-button.

One issue is left: You cannot start a new campaign so you have to use saved games and enter the levels always via the load option.

But there are saved games for the starting points of each level around the web!

@Hans

Hello Hans,

and also many big thanx from me for your great efforts!

I understand your suggestion not to buy any GFX cards in advance, but do you have a rough estimation about when you probably will have some testable version of the 2D drivers for the X1300 or X1550 available?

Ciao

I re(?)installed the core fonts since I discoverd some ttf fonts like arial alreday installed under AOS4.

After doing so OWB shows everything fine so far!

Many thanks again!

Darstellungsprobleme mit OWB
Just popping in
Just popping in

Hallo zusammen,

Vielen Dank schon einmal!

Ciao

Sorry for resurrecting this thread, but are there any new information about NAPALM on AOS4?

Mainly after the classic version has been released (since there is the paula.chip better accessible - IMHO there are AHI problems regarding NAPALM on AOS4 due to Chip dependencies)?

Or maybe I should open a new thread regarding this topic?

Best Regards

So, again, what good argument is there AGAINST MP, after so many arguments for MP?

I only have one: Make it within the next release/version and please do everything to get AOS4 released as soon as possible with no new features for the existent version.

An OS with everything a user/developer wants or can imagine is worth nothing if no potential user/developer is able to obtain it!

Bye
