Version is same in both webdav-handler. 3.1 (6.4.12)

Size and date is different, where

openamiga is 24.5.2012, size 2 969 272
os4depot is 24.1.2013, size 2 400 032

Openamiga version is 3.1beta2
os4depot version is 3.1beta3

Hm, I tried repeatly to get icons to show in wb window. Show all allso tested.

Have to test it tomorrow again. I had many things to test same time. Try to find webdav service, tinkering with protocols and ports and so on.

Does it support https/443 allso ?

Cool feature should be, if handler decrypts/encrypts files on the fly. This is actually one feature, what my clients ask, when we talk about cloud-services in general.

Nice to hear, that username@domain.com:password combination works.

Webdav looks like good solution, since we dont have laptop amiga. So it is easy to push them to webdav server and use everywhere with any system.

Im pretty impressed about that program :)

Tooltype is something like :

username:password@webdav.mediencenter.t-online.de:80 NAME Mediencenter

I picked it from os4depot and inside packet there is short readme.

Dont know, how it handle firstname.lastname@emaildomain.com:password@webdav.mediencenter.t-online.de:80 NAME Mediencenter

If username is form name@emaildomain.com

Thanks for everybody :)

I got UAE up and running.

UAEamigfx seems to be impossible to get picsso up.

With SDL-version picasso works fine.

I made OS3.9 setup and tested couple of programs.

Have to say, that if OS4 development is not very fast, it is anyway get lightyears away from 3.9 ... :)

Some programs seems to need potgo.resource, wich is avail UAE only. UAE in amiga is just too slow.

WinUAE is fast enought, but still I prefer my amiga...

Does anyone success to install picasso96 to E-UAE ?

I tried both amigfx and sdl with same symptoms. Whole system just jams.

Picasso archive is newest from aminet with uaegfx. I even tried to change installer icon default tool to installer executable, wich is from picasso archive.

Same result.

Strange.

I think, that I installed Picasso96 to OS3.1 under uae, but it was with OS4.0

Any ideas or advise ?

Have to look it tomorrow morning again.

@cha05e90

I noticed same.

Strange thing is, that floodfill doest work any more, floodfill with tolerance works instead.

Sad, that perfectpaint developing is dead.

I tested couple of different setups to add z3 memory to OS3.1 under E-UAE 0.8.29, without success.

Is it broken or is my setup broken ?

My system is Pegasos2 with OS 4.1_6 + latest updates.

System is not largely patched.

I actually try to resolve Perfectpaint usability (2.94-6). Wich broblems are incombability with OS4 and wich are just bugs.

Seems, that perfectpaint is dropped from radar entirely.

Do anyone has idea, if latest WIP-packages worked ?

They seems to be nowhere anyway...

Thanks :)

@LiveForIt

I'm not sure, why batteries usually drains out.

I think, that A1 SE boards are from some kind of developing rounds, because they seem to differ.

It is somehow acceptable board, only too few PCI-slots to resolve all problems :) In time, when there wasnt anything else, it was better than nothing.

I never did USB problems fully solved, even with NEC card. Others I got away with additional hardware.

Now I'm happy with my peg2, anyway.

@TSK

Hmmmm...

Ambient try to bring iexplore.exe to MOS. Point is good. Exploring functionality is not bad in file system level.

Apple has different interpretation about that, but still I think that ppl are more familiar with internet browser type of file system browser.

It is pretty messy to make drag-an-drop operatoins, when you have zillions of windows open.

So from my point of view, good user experience can be achieved something like that:

Ability to launch multiple "wb-browser" in one screen. Lets say, that I want to extract lha's to ram, copy things from data: to work: and workbench: all same time .

Then it is obviously good to have ability to open three-four browsers (respect iconify function if needed) and do file-operations effectivelly.

In my thoroughly wet daytime dream I can see progress bar under iconified program, where one can see, when task is in progres/finished... uuuh.

Your intention to respect standard OS4 functions is very good. First, unneccessary to reinvent wheel and ... I'm bit old for hacks :)

OS4 is allso moving gear. OS4 devs are making very good job by expanding functionality of workbench. Future is even better, I believe.

Then back to kukkaruukku :)

You can still keep your primary intention to expand work-area to multiple screens, but I think that ability to use multiple "browsers" in same screen is as important as that, or even more important.

Maybe I'm wrong and it allready can do that, because I'm not testet your program (yet).

But if one can have all wb normal usability with and between these fine "browsers", it can bring user experience to new level and it makes these old school two-tab filemanagers look very jurassic.

If you want, I can send some ideas about layout of GUI. By pictures and maybe some written ideas. Overall amiga logic is best like it is, simplified for simple persons, like me.

I'm very busy tomorrow and then I'm in capitol at friday in some work related meetings. But weekend is fine.

I'm made two guis before (outside amigaworld) and those once famous bloody fine (?) reqanims to amiga before.

Actually other gui project user-logic was monkeyed mostly directly from amiga and those simple (by computer use of view) motorsport mens were very very happy. Wich wasn't actually surprise for me.

Btw what happened to smart ?? I didn't got it working at all in os4, but idea was fine.

If database can be updated without regenerating whole database, companion with file system change notification (correct term?) and without big overhead, it should be good tool ?

I adore your avatar, that needs attitude :D

@ChrisH

From YAD doc one can read, that you can use it allso like program, not replacement. Then if "wb-browser" or "drawer-browser" is enought good, it should be enought reason to try it ?

Waiting my OS4.1 copy, not testing anything just now...

@ChrisH

Not tested neither one. I don't need WB replacement, just better WB :)

Just, when I get my hands to OS4.1, I will give YAD a shot. It seems intresting, yet bit unmatured still.

Both has some very good ideas, wich should be nice to see native in OS4.

Browser like wb-window in YAD is very nice, alltough button layout should be different, more clear. Actually I like it more, what ambient gives.

I personally don't ask very much. from Scalos feature set there is couple of very good points to bring in.

- every window has own task. But if you have unlimited number of wb-browsers, they technically has own task...

- preview for image files (maybe for videos allso?)

- undo/redo for drawer operations

Many good features similar to Scalos is allready integrated to OS4.

uhh... my wannabelist continues...

- datatype system capable for video, ie streaming ability. Datatypes are nice and elegant system.

- ability to add short cuts to wb menuitems.

As usually, I'm professional off-topicer and thread highjacker, and didn't answer any of your questions :)

Edited:typos (again)

@DaveP

Christmas is early this year, really :)

About changing type of company.

VOF:

A VOF is a company that is involved in trade under a common name. A VOF can be set up by a private agreement.
The shares in a VOF are not unilaterally transferable. However, all partners are severally and unlimitedly liable for the debts of the company. The bankruptcy of the VOF therefore entails the bankruptcy of the partners.

CVBA

A CVBA is established by notarial deed. The partners are only liable for the amount of their contribution. Therefore, they can easily join or withdraw.

CVBA gets personal liability away from owners. You can only loose yor investment, not whole life. It is from my point of view vice move.

And makes easier to get new investors to company if/when needed.
