Try using context menu a lot and open and reopen context menu and the Vice menu one after the other.

@BSzili

The entire system, of course.

@Lio

It seems the GUI for Vice is somewhat strange. They hid the Joystick setting inside the keyset configuration so you need to go inside and change it to your Joystick/Gamepad name. Afterwards the Speedlink showed signs of life

I can also report that changing the audio setting also worked for me and I also got freezes and if I move Vice too much on the desktop it freezes almost consistently.

I can't even get past the code screen as the only keys that work are the F keys and Numpad sometimes flashes the screen. Anyway have to put this aside for now. Good luck!

@BSzili

No, Only the keys "k", "l", ";" , "o" for movement and a bunch of keys for interactions with the game world. Maybe it is of some relevance that I didn't configure the Competition Pro on low level via Amigainput as there was never a need and all games + emulations work.

Perhaps also the Competition Pro isn't configured correctly here or something cause I don't get it in Neuromancer which Mobygames says should support digital Joysticks. What's the recommended configuration?

To me sound is garbaled and everthing is very slow. I keep getting sound buffer overflow messages.

Neuromancer works without sound. Don't have any more games currently. If that game supports the Competition Pro I'm not getting it.

There's a version of Neuromancer I've never managed to get working.

We've seen in the last couple of years all sorts of interesting projects on Kickstarter which aren't very demanding graphics-wise and could run on most systems. The most recent name that comes to mind is Thimbleweed Park (old scholl pixelelated point and click) by Ron Gilbert. Gilbert was never actually an amigan even if his best versions always came on the Amiga. He always talks in his blog about retro gaming and his love for old games and pixelated games. Wouldn't it be great to do a port on release? he can say that a port for AmigaOne is being made which could in turn make people look at it as a potentially new Monkey Island level game.

So I guess as far as my question was concerned, no one is using TW with old addons.

Is there a chance someone here uses the quicknote add-on? I need it so I can save notes from a virtual keyboard in hebrew on thew web and then open them on AmiCygnix to send email. Please try and save and tell me if it works for you.

Do you know why I can't write/copy stuff to the emulated sys folder when under the emulation?

@gregthecanuck

This is rubbish on the Amiga where a crazy user base and post-Amiga users longing to return have sustaind a platform on life support. This is what isn't appreciated.And where can users learn to become more if not on Amiga developed features? precisly the place where developers know the persistent user base will take their stuff to the limit and that what was perceived wrongly here as complaining.
