Just popping in

I have an X5000 Computer with an old U-Boot 4 - Jun - 2016
The Environmental variables don't function as they should.
Any Ideas where I can't get one.

Also looking for the latest U-Boot firmware, but it´s total silence
whenever I ask for it..

It´s not like I´m asking for the code to eternal life or something..

in theory you should ask your dealer or the guy/company you bought it from.

worst case, ask in hyperion forums, Trevor might give you a good answer.

To make life with the U-Boot SDcards a bit easier i have ordered myself an SDcard Extender. (Thanks for the tip Jamie)

Now i have the onboard SDcard connector bridged to the outside of the X5000

Recommended for every X5000 user!

This is what i ordered for a few euros from china.

Also for me... it seems close to impossible to get the updated X5000 UBoot Files.

I wrote already multiple E-Mails to AmigaKit (short ones, long ones, always polite) --> Never got any answer!

I read here or in some other Forum it would be best to simply give them a phone call. Did that. Was pleased to write an E-Mail... Called them again...

Can it be that complicated to put those files behind the AmiSphere Login, where i can access already manuals ect?

After 20 years of cataloging website I'm one not to give up on 'dead sites' or links that easily. Try these links. The page(s) state the files are from 3 Dec 2017. Don't know if this what you really need or not but at least the files are there. Hope this helps!

AmigaOne X5000 Update Uboot -- http://wiki.amiga.org/index.php?title=AmigaOne_X5000_Update_Uboot

or the direct links to the files
UpdateUBoot.zip -- http://wiki.amiga.org/index.php?title=File:UpdateUBoot.zip
SDVersion.zip -- http://wiki.amiga.org/index.php?title=File:SDVersion.zip
RawWrite.zip -- http://wiki.amiga.org/index.php?title=File:RawWrite.zip

and if somehow they disappear in the next day or so you can still get them at AmigaSource.com. http://amigasource.com/files/temp/uboot_update_files.php

Thanks for tryin, downloaded and checked all 3 links none include any firmware update, just the software for updating and not the latest firmware.

Tired of hunting for firmware myself and the total silence from A-Eon about firmware updates, non customer support for a 2000$ machine..

I think I got the latest firmware thanks to some kind Amigans, so P.M
me for a link to the latest version i've got and yes you have to prove you got an X5000.

@A-Eon/Matthew/Trevor
Sue me! Or better yet, support your customers with a firmware download page, you have the Updater infrastructure setup already.

It's "impossible" to brick the firmware of the X5000 with it's clever microSD card design, so let the latest firmware out!
What is there to worry about? Emulation?
Good luck with that.

When is the X5000/40 due to release?

You're welcome. Sorry the FW wasn't there. At least we now have access to the tools.

As I stated in another thread, after all these years 'how in the world can this be so hard to sell and support a damn product?

I hope you were able to get a copy. If so please let us know how it goes.

Yeah I didn't understand it either until yesterday when I read this thread -
https://morph.zone/modules/newbb_plus/ ... _id=12995&forum=11#147699

Yeah I've got the 2018 update, my reply was directed to ppl who don't have the fw update,
they can just p.m. me and give me proof of X5000 ownership and I will give em the update.
