SDL2 & OpenGL ES 2 (and/or Warp3D Nova)

Shifting this into its own thread from here.

I can try to add OpenGL ES 2 support for SDL2 but I can't test it myself at the moment. If someone else can, then good..

Have you had time to give this a shot yet?

SDL2 also has functions for using Vulkan. It would be useful to have something similar for Warp3D Nova. That way you could use SDL2 for setup, event handling, etc., and Warp3D Nova for rendering.

Obviously OpenGL ES 2 support is higher priority, but I thought I'd get the Warp3D Nova idea out there just in case someone is interested in giving it a shot.

I'm currently testing version R135 (SDL2 2.04)
No problem so far.

R135 still use MiniGL

Is there a new release out?

I've got some problems with fullscreen (shifting) and OpenGL freezes with the last "release" build, which why i stepped back from using it for ScummVM for now

I am currently on a business trip in New Jersey. When I get back to home, my intention is to continue with SDL2. And I need to get that SDK too :)

By the way, SDL 2.0.4 doesnt use system OpenGL headers at all, it has its own headers. So I added a hack to get MiniGL back.

Quickly checking in. Have you had a chance to look into adding GLES2 support to SDL2 yet?

Not yet, but I have requested the SDK via email recently. Let's see what happens.

would love Kodi, IPTV + Retroarch system.

uses SDL/OpenGL/Python

Kodi entertainment and game builds are very popular.

Some systems too slow for Dolphin emulator.

If we had Linux/Amiga/Kodi+Retroarch boot system for our upcoming systems prebuilt for around $150 - they would be very popular.

Free games could be downloaded and maintained for a small activation fee.
