Thanks for this search. This might show that something crashes on php, but it doesn't exist in my error logs, which is totally wierd. On the other hand might be something totally different.

You guys who have a problem with the blank pages, can you please try to Tor browser (https://www.torproject.org/projects/torbrowser.html.en) and tell me if this continues to exist? This browser is based on firefox and uses tor network, to hide your identity.

If the problems disappear, then the problem is with your current IPs....

Thank you all for your kind help.

Didn't Kas1e already say that:
Quote:
Same for me on firefox, chrome and ie.

So I'm not sure how using the Tor browser is going to help identify the problem? It could be IP address, or cookies, or something. Since the problem is intermittent, working OK on Tor browser wouldn't seem to tell us anything useful? (Nothing more useful than trying the same thing in another web browser on the same or different computer. That would be a test worth doing, I think.)

OK, some further tests:

I get exactly the same behaviour from a Private Window in Firefox (on a PC) as on Odyssey (on OS4). So it cannot be a cookie issue, but it *might* be an IP address issue.

HOWEVER, what I noticed is that the problem only occurs on SOME links. These for example:
http://www.amigans.net/modules/xforum ... id=100876#forumpost100876
http://www.amigans.net/modules/xforum ... id=100878#forumpost100878
http://www.amigans.net/modules/xforum ... id=100895#forumpost100895
http://www.amigans.net/modules/xforum ... id=100896#forumpost100896
http://www.amigans.net/modules/xforum ... id=100909#forumpost100909
http://www.amigans.net/modules/xforum ... id=100911#forumpost100911
http://www.amigans.net/modules/xforum ... id=100912#forumpost100912
http://www.amigans.net/modules/xforum ... id=100913#forumpost100913
http://www.amigans.net/modules/xforum ... id=100914#forumpost100914

But not on other links, even in the same thread. These for example:
http://www.amigans.net/modules/xforum ... id=100869#forumpost100869
http://www.amigans.net/modules/xforum ... id=100873#forumpost100873
http://www.amigans.net/modules/xforum ... id=100874#forumpost100874
http://www.amigans.net/modules/xforum ... id=100875#forumpost100875
Nor these:
http://www.amigans.net/modules/xforum ... id=100867#forumpost100867
http://www.amigans.net/modules/xforum ... id=100853#forumpost100853

Same for both Firefox & Odyssey. I doubt the IP-address explanation. It WOULD be interesting to know if other people see exactly the same problem with the same links.

The links are fine, but the website isn't rendering the html properly.

All the links that ChrisH posted at the top, open to a mainly blank page (there's no posts that can be seen), and that's what the problem is.

Odyssey has nothing to do with it.

It depends on the thread, and how many posts the last page has. As of right now, you can click this working link:

http://www.amigans.net/modules/xforum ... id=100869#forumpost100869

Then scroll down and click on #808 next to the date of the last post. You'll end up with a nearly blank page instead of linking to the post. However, that link will eventually start working once more posts are in the thread.

Thanks for this list... Your info is really valluable.

I asked to test with tor browser, just to check if the problems exist because of the IP range you use. Kas1e used a way to connect to the the site outside his country, and it worked just fine. If this works for you too then we narrow down where the problem is.

This weekend I will do a couple of updates to the website. You will be informed of' course.

Looks fine! (Although I haven't seen the blank page issues myself, so can't confirm that bit solved.)

I see (with joy ) that Ystrday is once again Yesterday, and did the time display of posts also change? Or did it always follow the user's time zone setting? At least it follows mine now, which is nice.

Best regards,

Niels

I am afraid that the bug still exists. It's just that the old links no-longer work as they previously did (it looks like the post IDs have changed, so the linked posts no-longer exist, at least not where they used to be).

Here are some new links which do NOT work:
http://www.amigans.net/modules/xforum ... id=101086#forumpost101086
http://www.amigans.net/modules/xforum ... id=101075#forumpost101075
http://www.amigans.net/modules/xforum ... id=101072#forumpost101072

The way I find these links is to go to the last page of this thread:
http://www.amigans.net/modules/xforum ... e=&order=ASC&type=&mode=0
And then click on the #NNN link in the top-right of the last few posts. (At some point older posts DO work.)

Heh, seems i have produced a reproducable cause of this error.

1) Click on one of the links in the two above posts
2) Type something in the "Immediate Reply" window and post it
3) Error of a blank page happens to me everytime
