OK thanks

Here it is my own test that I use to benchmark Microbe3D versions on differents hardware or emulators

1) Install Microbe3D
2) Start Demo-View_ppc (It is a 3d object viewer) not demo_view (68k version that works too with petunia)
3) Menu Scene/Read Object
load partygirl/partygirl.obj (NOT partygirl.bon)
Dont move this object (key 'j' can restore default position)
4) Menu Test & Debug/ FPS Limit:OFF
Else the FPS speed is limited aroun 10 fps

You obtain on the first line
current FPS for current frame (example: 19 fps)
average FPS on 50 frames (example: 20 fps)
average Time Per Frame (TPF) as milliseconds (example: 50 ms)

You can also start a full benchmark test :
Menu Test & Debug/ Time Tests
It is veeerrryyy long but very accurate
Touch nothing during tests

@thellier

thanks Alan!

tried the setup above but just getting black screen with alot of fast moving numbers at the top after selecting partygirl.obj. & menus at bottom of screen don't do anything for me?

EDIT:
ok after adjusting my screen mode issue I actually eventually saw the Amiga Party Girl after a quite long black screen & here are the results:

Full Benchmark test (Menu Test& Debug/ Time Tests):

Demo-View: Use Menus or keys. Press space for Editing Object/Instance/Light etc...
Starting benchmark tests, please wait...
Speed Tests:
============================
Test0: 21 ms normal
Test1: 21 ms Blitbitmap*10
Test2: 24 ms ClearDrawregion*10
Test3: 24 ms ClearZbuffer*10
Test4: 87 ms DrawArray*10
Test5: 85 ms W3D_DrawArray*10
Test6: 77 ms LightShader*10
Test7: 77 ms TransformProject*10
Test8: 21 ms No WaitBlit
Test9: 21 ms Use ClearScreenWarp3D
Test10: 24 ms ClearScreenWarp3D*10
Test11: 0 ms

If you are using an R100/200 system, try with and without the z buffer options described here:

http://wiki.amigaos.net/wiki/UserDoc:Warp3D#Configuration_5

I have previously observed a noticeable performance improvement for applications that don't need a stencil buffer when using a 16 bit Z buffer
