(I'm really freaked out!!! I just lost an excellent post using the Koivi editor option. (The one below is fairly close to the one I made.) I selected "preview" and my whole post dissapeared except for the first 2 sentences I typed before I selected it as an option. This is AFTER I highlighted all the text and selected "copy all". IT DID NOT GET SAVED. I couldn't recover my post from the clipboard, except for the first 2 sentences. < MAJOR!)

Hi!

In case we haven't met, my name is Thierry.

I am afflicted with "Amiganism".

I refuse all attempts for cure/recovery.

In 1985-86 I read about two new platforms.

There was a fierce competition there. A rivalry.

Atari and Amiga.

I saw both, and Atari (520 ST) was behind by a stellar distance... Not even close!

I saw Amiga for what it was, and for what it could be....

It unleashed creativity. It allowed it to be shared with everyone, far and wide.

"Multi-media" had arrived, before the word was born!

And it was "PUUURFECT"!

There was Apple (Mac), Linux (later), and wretched windross...

These were not in the same league at all!!!
Lack of a "fun factor" combined with inadequate performance, missing features, and difficulty of operation were truely a "keep out" sign I obey to this day.

Given enough dedication and $$$, anywhere that the other OS' may have climbed through to, Amiga can surpass, and with eloquence and flair as well. That's why I stick by her.

THE KING IS DEAD BUT THE QUEEN STILL LIVES!

So I am here waiting, waiting, waiting....

Support Amiga Fantasy cases!!!
How to program: 1. Start with lots and lots of 0's. 10. Add 1's, liberally.

I am Dirk and i love the AmigaOS's.

This year i have followed my first pc-class ever, it was a very painful
6-month long experience with all the windowsversions for the first
time in my life and now i am 200% sure that i dont want to use them.

Long Live Amiga !!!

I wasn't going to add to this thread because these "Hi, I'm ..." threads are usually boring, but poor Paul's status (outcast) makes me very sad. Anyone would think he was a Pommie cricketer.

However, I'm Tony, I'm a professional engineer and software developer and (thankfully) now retired, so I can spend 16 hours a day playing with my Amigas.

I've been part of the OS4 team since 2003 and it's been great fun.

Now that the product has been released, you can all see what fun we've had making it.

Now to start 4.1 ...

My name is Alex and I am an Amigan. I live in the Saarland in Germany and am 31 years old. My current Amiga is an AmigaOne-XE. I also own a Windoze notebook (1,7GHz) because of my job but mostly use the Amiga nevertheless because it is so much nicer.
I have written some small programs for Amiga including Musiker, Path and xMAMEGUI but unfortunately I'm lacking the time to do much programming recently because of my day job.
In 2005 I had the honor of becoming an OS4 betatester.

Alex.
