Sam440 (or X1000) auto-power-on after power cut possible?

As the title says, is it possible to make a Sam440 (or X1000) automatically switch itself on after a power cut?

i.e. I want to have it permanently running (doing a job), and if there is a power cut I want it to resume it's job once the power is back on (without me having to do anything).

On most PCs there is a BIOS setting that you can set, but I'm not sure about OS4 hardware.

@ChrisH

why not just use a battery backup as they're relatively cheap nowadays?

@328gts
That is my other option. But I had been hoping there was just a simple setting I could change!

When the power goes out during a thunderstorm here, the power frequently cycles on and off several times before power is fully restored. I don't think that would be very good for a computer so a battery backup sounds like a better idea to me.

Rather than perform a worryingly permanent modification of my PSU's cables, I'm considering modifying a 20-pin ATX extension cable to do the same job.

Something like one of these, except as short as possible:

This one is nice & short:

My A1 would just be random, judging from how it responds to my cutting the power... sometimes restart sometimes not.
