The status of this project has now been reset to open due to inactivity by the previous assigned developer.

It is ready to be picked up by someone else.

It is not advisable to implement this project as per the given specification. It suggests creating a dedicated commodity broker and a dedicated library for something that can easily be incorporated to Application Library's message broadcasting framework. And this is what I'd suggest doing.

AmigaOne X5000 @ 2GHz / 4GB RAM / Radeon RX 560 / ESI Juli@ / AmigaOS 4.1 Final Edition
SAM440ep-flex @ 667MHz / 1GB RAM / Radeon 9250 / AmigaOS 4.1 Final Edition

Then make it happen! ;)

Btw IIRC this project was almost done so there's a lot of code to reuse.

And how exactly am I going to do that without access to the Application Library sources?

I meant that you could update the project description. It should be possible to create something that can be integrated into the existing library by hyperion at a later date.

OK I'll do that.

That would be like tailoring a dress for a person you have never seen. You'd have to design your own message sending mechanism which Hyperion would later try to incorporate into Application Library's existing notification framework. Unnecessarily complicated on both parts.

I'll update the project description and then ask Hyperion if they'd outsource the library to get this job done. If they do I'll grab the project - I've recently written a subscription mechanism for my Application Class so I know how to go about it. Plus, it'd be an advantage if the class and the library were developed in line.

Btw read through the private project thread. It contains more information about what it was expected to do.
