Hi JosDuchIt,

Presumably you're using the Prism2 driver, yes?

You need to edit your ENVARC:sys/Wireless.prefs file for
your new router configuration.

After rebooting, then reconfigure your Roadshow preferences
as necessary.

If all you did was change the security level and nothing
else changed with your router and network, it seems like
Wireless.prefs should be the only thing to change.

Good luck,

PJS

Thanks,
I am using a netgear wnce2001 internet adapter,

I don't see the files you mention prism2 driver or envarc:sys/wireless.prefs

So you must change the adapter configuration,
not the Amiga one, probabily you must access the
web interface of the adapter to change the wifi secutiry level
to wpa2

I succeeded in having tje adapter connected
It took 2 steps
- ater Netgear got hold of the router i had to change the old "passphrase" to what the router gui identifies as "key"
- i had to restart the router

So you got your NetGear wifi adapter working now?

Basically, your Amiga probably thinks the Netgear is just
another router and AmigaOS knows nothing about the wifi
network upstream.

Is this adapter you've got?

https://www.netgear.com/support/product/WNCE2001.aspx

If so, in the future you should be able to connect to the
router with Odyssey as described in the manual and
configure/manage how the adapter operates & connects to the
wifi network.

Thanks,

PJS
