I too have Napalm, and no go. Infact, I have yet to hear of a user that has gotton Napalm to work for os4.x

It works fine under Cloanto emulation.

Also, check my website out, go to the Listings section, and this is a general resource to help users, like yourself, find out a general idea of what works and is nt working, games, software, hardware.

The website is part of my signature.

Hahahaha, Buddy Old Pal.

Got it going today, we compared it to my friends A1, then compared my Libs, it seems I was installing rtgmaster yes, but it was looking for it.

Eventually we managed to fix this and get it working, ofcourse a DSI pops up before start, but after ignoring DSI errors, it runs fine.

Naturally, had to place it in the compatibility, and dsabled jit, to ensure no crashes. It runs a tiny bit slower, but I can handle this for a point and click adventure.

Thank you kindly for helping us though.

P.S.Since getting Nightlong working, also managed to get Heretic 2 demo working, but eventually it does get an ISI, but atleast its better than nothing at all.

Next up, is to try and get Open red Alert past that damn white screen, after the intro of the tank.

Good stuff.
Strange but at least you got there in the end.
I never bothered disabling JIT and it works fine for me.

Can get Heretic II to run but after a short period the games just freezes.

I have the same problem as you for Open Red Alert.

Yeah sure, my Heretic 2 demo is almost fine now, it runs fine, then after a while gives me ISI, but does not freeze my system, However, generally, as all amiga users know, after an ISI, one usually needs a machine restart anyway.

As for nightlong, I found that without jit enabled, it is slower, versus when it is enabled. Which version are you using?

I use 1.2, and get a DSI at the start.

Another thing Ive been meaning to ask, Wondering how your ingame graphics are, with mine, the text is not clearly readable, but then when I right click, for that moment of the click the text becomes readable for that seond, as do the in game graphics become nicer for that second.

Is this normal?

I also have only one option in the RTG settings for it.

THen theres the fact that even when I tried it at 1440x900 screen res, the graphics did not change, still blurred??

Talk to me about this, run me through this.

Sure, Tired of life and myself may be able to help you.

You need to give us a problem first though.

Also, if rudei actually managed to test nightlong himself, even he can help you.

BUt again, we need you to give us your problem, so we can give it a go to help you fix it.

I simply installed the 130MB of nightlong.

I decided to in the end, create another folder called Q within the nightlong directory.
THis is also what Tired of life suggested for clean intro sequence and in game movie sequences.

Generally, I found sometimes I still have it run off the cd, dont know why, dont need to now.

If doing the Q drawer option, be warned, youll need close to 2 gig of HD space. (INSANE)

Well, install the latest RTG master, and make sure to use RTGOS4FIX also.

not sure what else to say, until you give us your problem report.

I will give Nightlong a fresh install tonight according to your outline and let you what exactly happens when I run it.
