Oops should have said that.

As for people waiting for a beta, you'll have to wait a bit longer. I have some form issues still to be fixed, and I'd like to get some form of downloads and bookmarks working. I also have numerous other scribbles on an old envelope which need to be done, but they're lower priority.

When I release a beta it will probably be the only one until Netsurf 2.0 is finalised, so I want it to be halfway useable.

When people can bookmark amigans.net, visit that bookmark and whinge about NetSurf using NetSurf, it's useable If they have nothing to whinge about, it's not a beta! (but I'm trying to reduce the whinge factor to bugs only)

@nubechecorre

You should be able to see from the screenshots that it's new. I've used the gtk code for inspiration, but the AmigaOS interface is built from the ground up.

Already done (I wouldn't have got this far without their help)

Important to-dos:
1. Fix the graphical rendering which makes aw.net unreadable
2. Fix the crashing in the forums here and at aw.net when logged in.

But I'd also like to:
3. Make the rendering more complete (some drawing functions aren't implemented at all, others are very basic)
4. Implement downloads
5. Implement bookmarks

There are lots of other things to be done, but I'd like to do at least 1, 2 and 4 before any sort of release. There will be masses of complaints otherwise (and I can think of some other things that will be complained about that are beyond my control)

Hi, do you have any updates for us since you posted this a week ago? I'd be interested in hearing how development is going..

(1) I thought I'd fixed but it appears to still be present.
(2) is fixed.
(3) is improved but more needs to be done.
(4) and (5) are not started.

Additionally, dragging (text selection, scrolling up and down with the mouse) is now working although the clipboard doesn't yet.
Select forms are also now working (which I'd love to get a screenshot of but that appears to be an impossibility)

Complete forms, downloads and bookmarks are still the things I want to implement before any release.

BH weekend might give me enough time to get it in a releaseable preview/beta state.

I'm posting this from Netsurf on OS4.0 and damn this browser is fast . Great work so far. Hope you can get the remaining issues fixed. As it is now it is much faster than OWB or any other browser on AmigaOS for that matter.

You simply need to add a site (preferrably the homepage NetSurf opens) from the menu to your hotlist, so that it will be created. The error will silently go away .-)

Posting this with NS2, awesome work so far Chris

After the error, click on ok.
Then type in a known url and hit return.
Close down netsurf and then reopen it.
