Software News : AmiKit 1.4.0 released

We are pleased to announce the final version of AmiKit 1.4.0 has been released. Many things were re-worked and enhanced (screenshot).

- AmiKit now supports three different working environments: Magellan II, Scalos and Workbench.
- new startup graphics, logos, themes and other graphics painted by Ken Lester.
- all the icons are now provided in 32bit DualPNG format, also painted by Ken Lester.
- AmiKit Launcher is now skinable thanks to Rex Schilasky.
- two registered games has been added as well (with the permission of EMV-Software).

Ive recently uploaded to os4depot.net two new plugins for TuneNet.
A WMA plugin uses a stripped down ffmpeg decoder that adds support for Windows Media Audio, and also a TTA plugin that adds support for True Audio files.
TTA is a lossless compression like the FLAC format and can be encoded on OS4 using TTA encoder ported by SpotUP.

ffmpegGUI v1.0 has just been uploaded to OS4Depot. This version adds built in presets and the ability to save and load settings among other things.

ffmpegGUI v1.0 is a GUI front end for the OS4 compile of the ffmpeg video manipulation program.

Ffmpeg is a command line program which provides the abilty to decode and encode a large variety of video, audio, and graphics formats while supporting the changing of various parameters along the way.

Considering how little information we are providing, we do understand that there will be few applicants. However, we would like 2 kinds of people to take part of our beta testing team:

1) people who have more than one harddrive, with more than 10GB of free space each for partitions
2) people who are experienced with writing documentation

AmigaOS4 is a requirement for applications.
