Software News

The full version of the audio harddisk recording software Audio Evolution 4 for OS4 has been uploaded to OS4depot! The source code and AROS/MorphOS versions will follow later.

I hereby wish to thank all customers who have purchased AE4 (for anyof the above platforms) in the past.

All the best,

Davy

Good for the community. Thanks

Nice to see you will make AE for android pads. If one day i decide to buy an pad ill definately try it out. Android needs more music apps. Its not easy to code music apps for android as the high audio latency i heard.

@328gts

He released it as freeware, not open-source. However, Davy also said (years ago) that Audio Evolution 5 could come to AmigaOS once the wxWidgets port is complete. The wxWidgets port is still a WIP, and abalaban could use some help from developers with good knowledge of the AmigaOS BOOPSI/GUI system.

Davy does state, however:

(my emphasis).

Best regards,

@nbache

And that's what I get for not reading it properly...

Anyway, considering that Audio Evolution 5 exists, and that Davy did say that a wxWidgets port would make porting that back to the Amiga possible, I'd say that focusing on that would be a better idea than someone else building on the AE 4 source-code.
