Found nasty bug: run gui, choice anything + choice rom. Start UAE (even without any afd/dms/etc). Will have classic 3.1 screen with animated floppy. Then close by the close gadget euae, and try to run one more time euea. Will happing nothing, and then, when you will try to movie any window - lockup of all the system.

IF you run it from shell, then, after you press close gadget of euae, you have:

I post 1 bug and 1 suggestion on os4bugs, but have a new question for you:

Why aspect ratio option doesnt works as it must ? I mean, for example i set 320x240 resolution of window. Also enable aspect ration options, then start, and, i have 320x240 window, but all the data inside not corrected by ratio, its just show me part of the works area.

If i remember right, that was works fine in SDL version of EUAE.

Also, in your version amiga+ctrl+s for swith beetwen full-screen and window mode does not works (but in SDL version it works fine).

So maybe you will be in interst also compile latest SDL version with your GUI ?

And one more question: it is possible on the running stage, just not spawn GUI ? (it will be usefull for some scripts, etc).

I get the excat same error as you...runs fine 1st time but crashes system when try to run 2'nd time...added comment to OS4depot link as well

1) The crash (a bug in E-UAE itself, not my GUI) is fixed in 1.4 which I just uploaded to os4depot.

2) To start without GUI, use the -G switch.

3) There won't be any SDL version done by me as I don't want to spent even more time on setting up the SDL environment to compile it nor to maintain 2 different versions. Feel free to add everything to the bugtracker.. maybe it will get fixed by someone.. see below..

4) As for the other issues, feel free to put them into the bugtracker. But as long as they don't come from my GUI, don't hold your breath for a fix as EvilRich is still the maintainer of E-UAE and it would be his job to fix them. I had to dive far more into E-UAE already than I had expected due to its extremely weird code and design and I'm not really eager to dive even more into it, sorry.

In general: Besides the few fixes I did in the E-UAE code itself to get it to a usable state, I only added my GUI code and didn't touch anything else. So as soon as you hit the "Start" button in my GUI, everything else what happens stems from the untouched E-UAE code as available in the public CVS. So strictly spoken: Its none of my business and thats why I said above that you shouldn't hold your breath for fixes in E-UAE done by me. Maybe I'll do some, maybe not.. but it's still always good to have bugs in the tracker, so someone else or EvilRich himself knows where to look for them.

Grab the new version from os4depot, Cyborg fix that problem. For now i tested 6-7 times run/exit with no problems.

Sorry to say the last versions GUI does not work for me. I try to save and config files are created but not with the options I have marked/changed in the GUI. Changed rom/adf drawer but neighter was saved. Changed ROM-file and it did not save that eighter. All harddisk drawers are readonly even if I don't mark the checkbox. Sometimes the GUI grims too.

I like the look of the GUI and hope a more stable version will come (or is it only my AOne/G4/OS4.1.1 that have these problems?).

I haven't tried saving in EasyUAE yet, but I suspect it will cause problems with RunInUAE because it calls it with the -f option... And it looks suspiciously like EasyUAE will probably still save state to the ".uaerc" file, instead of the config file specified with -f.

Thanks for all your hard work creating a GUI for E-UAE under OS4, lack of a GUI is one of the main reasons I never used E-UAE on my sam and instead stuck with WinUAE under windows instead.

I have only had a quick look so far but it looks like I should now be able to get E-UAE setup nicely to run some of my Amiga Apps that do not play nice under OS4 on my sam440ep.
