All the other screengrabs on here are from before I figured out how to get picasso96mode to create a wide screen resolution, so I zapped my latest Lightwave rendered wallpapered workbench.

haven't uploaded a screenshot for awhile, and I'm bored. So here's another one!

6' of PVC, Utahs best tubers, hairspray, and a lantern ignitor
VS
USB Canon LDE scanner.
Think the potato cannon won.
(The scanner jammed up on me, finally got sick of it and dragged it out back with the spud gun)
Quality might be a bit low, had to scale and tweak .jpg compressing to fit <400,000 Bytes

Another PC-Task shot showing how my Win 3.11 setup looks after a fresh boot.

Another screenshot, with PC-Task running Windows 3.11 WFW. Windows 3.11 is configured to use Calmira as a shell (makes it look/act like Win95), with some obvious "customizations". Also, I have iconified diskspace meters for drives C:, D:, and E:, as well as a CPU usage graph. (Probably not too accurate, though) Tried converting some NewIcons into windows .ICO files, though this was painful at best. And the results aren't that good. A: is mapped to my USB floppy drive, B: to my external 880K drive (internal floppy isn't working for some reason), C: to Winblows95:, D: to Winblows31:, E: is a ramdisk (c:\windows\ramdrive.sys, W95 version works with 3.11), and F: is set to scsi.device,2 via the included pctcdrom.sys file. All letter drives are accessable via my workbench, except for the ramdrive. Resolution is @ 800x600x256 colors, Video7 mode, with mouse, pc-speaker, serial(nullser.device,1), and parallel ports turned on. Also, the autoexec.bat contains a boot selector, allowing me to choose from the command prompt, Dosshell, win 3.11 w/ progman.exe, win 3.11 w/ calmira.exe, or win95 OSR2. (Patch needed to run 3.11 + W95 OSR2 as a dual-boot) This way, I don't need to swap the C: and D: values when running pc-task!

OK, got the right file this time. This is REALLY my current workbench. :D I'll just copy & paste the original description.

Quote:
This is my current Trekbench, though I used a Frontier Elite II Imperial Trader instead of a Starfleet ship on the backdrop. I have all my USB goodies (PC floppy drive, LCD picture frame, Sony Clié PEG-TJ27, Samsung A503 camera, Sandisk Cruzer 8GB, and a 512MB Nextar MP3 player) plugged in, to show their icons. Also, I have the 3 Amidock windows (with mostly KDE stolen icons), tinymeter, limpidclock, WET, YAM, and a modified Birdie/visualprefs theme. The 4x IDE adapter has a 40GB drive w/ 3 SFS partitions, 2 FAT16s, and 1 Mac partition, with a Zip100, a DVD drive, and a CD/RW drive. I'm going to change the alpha shadows on some of the USB and Trek icons, as I get more proficient at such things. Other than that, I'm pretty happy with this.

Also, used some windows icons for windows files. Filext.com proved useful for this, as 90% of the time it has all the info Deficons needs to identify a file.

Did this to show what different filesystems are being used on my 1200. Using both Fat95 and Crossdos, only because I've been too lazy to switch the windows partitions over. :D

Got really bored, and daydreamed about putting my 1200 in a tower case one day, then wondered what I would airbrush onto it if/when I get one. I used Ibrowse and google image search to grab the skull, along with the Amiga and Microsoft logos/banners. Then used ArtPro to resize the logo images and convert everything to IFF, and finally went into Deluxe Paint IV, and colored everything in. The Circuit board that is supposed to be covering the skull actually came from the documentation included on a cd-rom for a video game. (Star Craft, I believe) It didn't turn out very well at this res, so it just looks green. After saving the final IFF file, I loaded it into Ppaint, and exported it to a .png file, where I then uploaded it here with Ibrowse.   Might make a good tattoo for the incredibly geeky.
